Ain’t no party like a Hardy party
Hardy Road is classic Adirondack singletrack on state land. Punchy, aggressive climbs will grant you access to fast and chunky descents. If you’re more into flow, the newly added Flobus Trail on the Adirondack Land Trust’s preserve will give you lap after lap of ear-to-ear grins.
This trail system is highly recommended by Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA), an organization that builds, maintains, and advocates for the mountain biking trails in our region!

Parking
There are several options for parking. You can park at the main parking area at the trailhead that’s located on Hardy Road. If you’re only looking to do Three Sisters/Quaker Mountain and Flobus), there’s a small parking lot at the bottom of the trail. To maximize your fun, you can park at the Wilmington Bike Park and take the Town Connector Trail to Three Sisters Preserve and ride over to Hardy Road proper.
Highlights
- All In - After climbing to the top, you deserve a descent packed with berms, chunk, and side hits galore. There are several drops off the trail to keep an eye out for, but all of them are optional. Make sure to take a break at the top to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
- Flobus - Newly-minted flow trail that’s more fun than should be legal. When paired with the Three Sisters Trail, the fun never stops.
- Good Luck - This trail will challenge your bike handling and endurance. Steep, rocky climbs on the way up, gnarly rock gardens on the way down. If you feel that you mastered it, turn around and try it in the other direction.
Suggested routes
- Hardy Trails Full Tour (Trailforks) A half day of riding is all it takes to hit all the Hardy Road trails, but pack a second set of legs because you’ll be climbing a lot (it’s worth it).
- Tech City (Trailforks) If you’re looking to get straight to the gnarly goodness, this route is for you.
- Hardy 101 (Trailforks) While many of the trails at Hardy are challenging, there’s plenty to do with families or beginners. This route takes you through the greens and easy blues of Hardy and finishes with swoopy fun on Flobus.
